Christ PU College – Residential, Bangalore, is the residential pre-university (PU) wing of the Christ group of institutions, founded on the same educational mission that established CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in 1969. The residential PU college was created to extend Christ’s emphasis on disciplined, holistic education to the two-year pre-university level, providing a blend of strong academics, co-curricular opportunities, and residential life to adolescent boys.
The residential campus is located on the Bengaluru–Mysuru Highway at Kanminike, Kumbalgodu (near Kengeri), set amidst a large green expanse of approximately 100 acres as part of the Kengeri campus cluster. The campus is designed to offer a “home away from home” atmosphere, with hostels, classrooms, sports grounds, and student facilities thoughtfully planned to support focused learning and overall personality development.
Christ PU College – Residential was officially established in 2005 as an offshoot of the Christ educational family to serve students from across Karnataka and beyond. From its inception, the college has followed the Karnataka Pre-University curriculum while integrating Christ’s strong emphasis on values, discipline, and holistic formation.
Over the years, the college has emphasised a balanced programme that includes rigorous PU academics in Science and Commerce streams, structured residential life, well-developed sports and fitness facilities, and a wide range of clubs and cultural activities. The institution functions as an integral part of Christ’s broader mission of Excellence and Service, maintaining close academic and value-based links with the larger university and educational institutions managed by the CMI congregation.
